We were looking for a vehicle similar to the Gazell, a truck camper from Europe, that we could use to take us skiing and exploring the desert wilderness. We found similar models in USA but unfortunately they were no longer for sale. So, after extensive searching, we tracked down the factory that made them and reached a deal to import these campers ourselves with a few modifications and a new name....The Desert Overlander Camel.
 
The Camel is a pop-up truck camper engineered to fit light to medium duty truck beds.  We made extensive modifications so that the Kamel can keep going where other truck campers can’t. We equipped it to get you out further and to stay there longer in all weather conditions.
 
All Camels come fully loaded with everything you need including the jack stands and awning. We can offer you this low price because every Camel comes with all accessories installed in the factory. All we have to do is remove them from the shipping container and place it on your truck.
 
We recommend you get a Ford Ranger or Chevrolet Colorado. Use a rubber mat on the truck bed and install air bags.
